He Said, She Said: NHL's Mike Komisarek Denies Punching Woman

There's two sides to every story, and now Mike Komisarek has had a chance to tell his side, according to TMZ:
NHL all-star Mike Komisarek has told LAPD investigators he NEVER punched a woman in a Hollywood nightclub earlier this month -- and witnesses are backing his claim.
Sources close to the investigation tell us multiple clubgoers who were partying near [Komisarek] and the women all seem to have the same story -- Mike never raised his fists.
It seems that part of the story is consistent from both parties.  They both agree that the Toronto Maple Leafs star Komisarek picked the woman up off the ground and she slapped him in the face, allegedly for refusing to put her down.  They also agree that after Mike put her down, the woman was bleeding.

It's the part about what caused her to bleed where the story diverges.  According to Komisarek and some witnesses, she smacked her nose on his head as he went to put her back on the ground, causing her to bleed.  However, according to the woman's report to the L.A.P.D., Komisarek punched her in the face after she slapped him.

Should be interesting to see where the story goes next, as this would seem to be a case of "he said, she said".  Komisarek's side of the story makes it seem like this was an accident, where she seems to think this was intentional.  Maybe a settlement of some sort can be ironed out outside of court.  Either way, I'm sure Mike will have second thoughts the next time he tries to lift up a woman, even if she agrees to it.
