New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez Stuck In Elevator Before USC Panel Discussion

New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez took part in a panel discussion at his alma mater USC on Thursday night titled, "For the Good of the Game: The NFL at a Crossroads." Other panelists included agent Leigh Steinberg and former NFL players Willie Gault, Toi Cook and Shelby Jordan.

Normally a panel like this wouldn't be a noteworthy event.  However, it suddenly became interesting once the news broke about why the program was going to start late:  Sanchez, Steinberg and Gault were stuck in an elevator.  They were in the elevator for a total of 50 minutes before they got out.

"At first I thought it was kind of a joke — 'Oh, in 10 minutes we'll be out,' " Sanchez said of the elevator ordeal. "We were killing time. I went over the email … about the topics we were going to go over.
"Once we got out there [for the panel discussion] it turned out great. … It was a great day."

No word if this was this a technical malfunction or a prank pulled by Tom Brady.
