Soccer Player Takes Out Opponent While Talking On Cell Phone

Now here's something you don't see every day:  soccer players on their cell phones during a game.  This video could be a glimpse of what the future could be like.

During a German amateur match between SV Sem Jemgum and Fortuna Veenhusen, a player named Matthias Hilbrands of Jemgum noticed that one of his buddies was trying to get his attention from the touchline to answer a phone call. It must have been a very important call, because instead of telling the guy to wait until after the match, Hilbrands ran over to the side during play to answer it.
The match continued as he chatted and when the opposing goalkeeper threw the ball to a player making a break for a counter attack, Hilbrands hilariously decided that his call was not so important that he couldn't interrupt it to take out the opposing player with a sweeping slide tackle...while still holding the phone. Hilbrands handed the phone back to his phone caddy after that and jogged back onto the pitch.  The referee showed him a yellow card, though,  for the merciless (but clean?) tackle that his phone call made him ineligible to make.
I guess we'll never find out who was on the other end of that phone call, or what the call was really about.  Hilbrands didn't seem to say much, and hopefully got a message across that "This isn't a good time to talk.  Can you call me back?"  However, at the same time, this may give the wrong message to other players that they can still play soccer at full speed and talk on their cell phones at the same time.  It's dangerous, like texting and driving, and hopefully amateur players will not jump on this bandwagon.
