Video: Fight Between American Legion Baseball Teams Gets Both Ejected From Tournament

On Sunday morning, a brawl erupted during a game in Sumter, SC, as part of the Southeast Regional American Legion baseball tournament, leading both teams to be banned from the tournament.

The game was between teams from Douglasville, GA and Cherryville, NC.  After a play in the fourth inning where Cherryville scored two runs, the second Cherryville player who crossed the plate exchanged words with the Douglasville catcher.  Douglasville's catcher threw the ball at the Cherryville player, starting the fight and clearing the benches.

After the tournament organizers consulted with national American Legion officials, the decision was made to ban both teams from the remainder of this year's tournament via forfeit.
