Tyler Kennedy And Sean Avery Fight Twice During First Three Minutes Of Penguins-Rangers Game (Video)

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tyler Kennedy and New York Rangers forward Sean Avery got into two fights in the first three minutes of Tuesday night's NHL game at Madison Square Garden.

The first "fight" started only 16 seconds into the game and consisted of Avery wrestling Kennedy down to the ground, with only a few punches thrown.  Both players got two penalty minutes each for roughing.

The players were clearly not finished, however, because as soon as Avery and Kennedy stepped out of the penalty box, they threw down the gloves and went at it again near center ice.  Play was stopped with 17:39 left in the first period.  More punches were thrown the second time, with Avery having a little bit of an edge by throwing more punches and throwing Kennedy off balance and down to the ice.  As a result of the second fight, Avery and Kennedy received 5 minute major penalties for fighting.

The players kept it clean for the rest of the night during the Rangers 4-3 victory.
