Video: Ravens' Torrey Smith Tackled By His Hair

During the second quarter of Sunday's game, Baltimore Ravens receiver Torrey Smith was tackled by Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones, who grabbed Smith's long dreadlocks to pull Smith down to the ground.

The referees initially threw the flag, as Smith went down as if grabbed with an illegal horse collar tackle. However, the flag was waved off as the referees realized that Jones' tackle was made by grabbing Smith's hair, and the hair is not considered to be part of the uniform.

It's unfortunate, because if Smith's hair was tucked in, or if he had shorter hair, there's a good chance he could have ran all the way to the end zone for a touchdown. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco threw an interception two plays later, so the Ravens were unable to score before the first half.
