Jets' Evander Kane Runs Over Islanders Goalie Al Montoya (Video)

New York Islanders goaltender Al Montoya had to leave the game in the second period of last night's NHL game in Winnipeg after Jets right winger Evander Kane ran him over.

Kane was approaching the Islanders net with the puck to take a shot. The puck was knocked away from Kane by Islanders defenseman Milan Jurcina, but Kane did not have time to slow down or change direction to avoid colliding with Montoya. Kane received a two minute penalty for goaltender interference.

Evgeni Nabokov took over in goal for Montoya and did not allow the Jets to score, allowing the Islanders to win in a shootout 3-2.
