Rangers' Yorvit Torrealba Shoves Umpire In The Face, Suspended 66 Games (Video)

Texas Rangers catcher Yorvit Torrealba had been playing baseball in the Venezuelan League to keep in shape over the winter. Unfortunately, Torrealba won't be allowed to play in any games for a while, as he was suspended 66 games for shoving an umpire in the face.

Torrealba swung and missed for strike three, but then began arguing with home plate umpire Dario Rivero, Jr., apparently over a call earlier in the at-bat. After getting in Rivero's face for a few seconds, Torrealba shoved him in the face with the palm of his hand.

No question that the suspension was deserved. Torrealba needs to control his temper, and he has plenty of time to think about that now during his suspension.
