Islanders' Matt Moulson scores goal with lucky bounce against Capitals (Video)

New York Islanders forward Matt Moulson scored the first goal of Tuesday night's NHL game against the Washington Capitals after the puck took a strange bounce that just has to be seen to be believed.

Moulson's shot from the blue line was initially blocked by Capitals goalie Michael Neuvirth. However, after Neuvirth made the save, the puck continued on into the back wall, then somehow bounced up in the air over the back of the net. As Neuvirth turned to follow the puck behind the net, the unusual bounce of the puck caused it to hit him in the chest, then fall into the net for an Islanders goal.

Talk about a lucky bounce for Moulson. It's hard to fault Neuvirth for this one, as that bounce that the puck took was pretty strange. Fortunately for Neuvirth, he was able to put this one behind him and the Capitals were able to win the game in a 5-4 shootout.
