Marlin Park opens this week, with aquarium behind home plate (Video)

The new home stadium of the Miami Marlins opens this week with some exhibition games, and one of its main features is a live aquarium behind home plate.

Of course, we hope that the aquarium has shatterproof glass and can handle the impact of a foul ball being hit straight into it from home plate, or an errant throw of some sort. That would not be pretty, and would be a real mess to clean up.

Even if the glass is shatterproof, hopefully the impact of a baseball hitting the glass doesn't freak out the fish too much. We'll all find out soon enough.

H/T Off the Bench.
