Curtis Granderson and Nick Swisher collide in outfield (Video)

New York Yankees outfielders Curtis Granderson and Nick Swisher collided in the outfield while trying to catch a fly ball during Monday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.

It happened in the bottom of the third inning when Angels outfielder Mark Trumbo hit a deep fly ball to right-center field. Granderson ran over from center field and was calling for it, but Swisher was also sprinting towards the ball from right field. Both players reached out for it, and the ball bounced in and out of Swisher's glove before the players collided and knocked each other to the ground. The ball rolled towards center field along the base of the outfield wall. Granderson chased it down and threw it back to the infield, but in the end, Trumbo had himself a stand-up triple.

Fortunately for the Yankees, Granderson and Swisher got up and were very lucky to be uninjured. Trumbo scored as the next Angels batter, Howard Kendrick, hit a sacrifice fly to right field.

Trumbo hit a ground-rule double earlier in the game and finished off the game by hitting a solo walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to help the Angels defeat the Yankees 9-8.
