Freddie Freeman hits Braves mascot with foul ball (Video)

Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman hit the Braves mascot Homer with a foul ball during the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Homer was in the left field party section of Tropicana Field just to the left of the foul pole when Freeman's foul ball hit him in the head. Homer pretended to be dazed by the ball and went down briefly, but appeared to be OK afterwards. Fortunately the head piece of the costume appeared to be big enough and soft enough to protect the person inside.

Nice of the Braves to let Homer travel with them on a road trip.
