Actor Gary Sinise, best known for his role as Lt. Dan from the movie Forrest Gump, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Wednesday night's Texas Rangers game. Or at least, Sinise tried to throw out the first pitch.
Not sure if that counts as a throw, as the ball didn't even make it halfway to home plate before bouncing, plus it was a few feet offline. Sinise seemed to take it in stride, though.
