Brooks Conrad knocked over by umpire (Video)

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brooks Conrad was knocked over by the first base umpire while chasing a popup in foul territory during Friday night's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

It happened in the top of the third inning when Pirates pitcher Kevin Correia hit a foul popup into the first base stands. Brewers first baseman Taylor Green chased the ball to the stands, and first base umpire Gerry Davis was positioning himself to watch Green making the play. However, Davis didn't see Conrad running at full speed from second base to try to make a play on the ball. As a result, Davis bumped into Conrad and knocked him off balance. Conrad tumbled to the ground and went crashing into the wall on the side of the field.

Fortunately Conrad appeared to be uninjured, although his ego was probably a bit bruised for being knocked over by an umpire.
