LA reporter spanks NJ Devils mascot (Video)

A news segment on KTLA-TV featuring a staged on-ice brawl between two reporters and the mascots of the Los Angeles Kings and New Jersey Devils ran off the rails when one of the reporters started spanking the Devils mascot.

Allie MacKay was teamed up with Kings mascot Bailey, while Doug Kolk was teamed up with the NJ Devil. After Kolk initiated the brawl by sliding into Bailey's legs, Bailey jumped on top of him. The Devil tried to pull Bailey off of Kolk, and MacKay then tried to pull the Devil away.

That's when things went south, as MacKay for some reason decided to start spanking the Devil, prompting one of the news anchors in the studio to retort "Allie pulled out her bedroom move".

After Bailey got up from Kolk and gave him a slap on the rear end for good measure, the Devil wound up as if he were going to slap MacKay. Believe it or not, MacKay was going to let him, saying "Yeah, go ahead", before the Devil thought the better of it and held off. MacKay skated away, seemingly unhappy, saying "I got denied by a devil."

To wrap up the segment, one of the studio anchors said "They're all going to the penalty box", prompting the co-anchor to reply "Something tells me they probably would enjoy it".

MacKay admitted on the air to "completely regretting this", but she's going to have to live this for a while now that the video has went viral. Maybe the next time MacKay does a segment like this, she can keep her mind out of the gutter.

H/T Awful Announcing.
