Blake Griffin out of Olympics after suffering knee injury (Video)

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin will not be able to play in the Olympics in London after suffering an injury to his left knee in a Team USA scrimmage on Thursday.

Video of the scrimmage shows that Griffin appeared to suffer the injury after John Wall stepped on his left foot while Griffin was trying to defend him.

Griffin has been diagnosed with a meniscus tear and will have arthroscopic surgery next week. However, Griffin is expected to recover in time for training camp this fall, so Clippers executives and fans can breathe easier knowing that it could have been a lot worse.
