After a ball went into the stands during a recent Brazilian soccer match between Palmeiras and Botafogo, a spectator tossed the ball back to the field and managed to hit a linesman square in the head.
Spectators in the stadium cheered almost as if someone had scored a goal.
Fortunately it was a soft toss by the spectator and it was only a soccer ball that hit the linesman, so naturally he was OK and able to continue his officiating duties.
