Cameraman nearly gets hit by Austin Kearns' bat (Video)

A cameraman was nearly hit by the flying bat of Miami Marlins pinch hitter Austin Kearns during Monday night's Philadelphia Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park.

It happened in the top of the eighth inning when Kearns lost the grip of his bat while swinging at an 0-1 pitch and it went flying towards a cameraman on the third base side near the Marlins dugout. Fortunately the bat was low enough that it hit the screen in front of the cameraman so he wasn't hurt, although he did lose his balance while ducking out of the way.

Looks like the cameraman got his close-up for the evening.
