Brandon Phillips uses 'Matrix' move to avoid tag (Video)

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips managed to avoid a tag from San Francisco Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro during Saturday night's NLDS Game 1 at AT&T Park with a move straight out of "The Matrix".

It happened in the eighth inning with Phillips the runner on first. Reds batter Joey Votto grounded to Scutaro, who appeared to be in perfect position to tag Phillips and throw to first to complete the double play. However, Phillips avoided the tag by coming to a complete stop and dropping backwards, staying out of Scutaro's reach.

Scutaro decided to throw to first instead to get the sure out, but tripped over Phillips' feet and nearly lost his balance in the process. Meanwhile, Phillips got up and ran safely to second base.
