David Stern referred to Hurricane Sandy as 'Hurricane Katrina' before Miami Heat ring ceremony (Video)

NBA Commissioner David Stern had a bit of a slip-up before awarding the Miami Heat players and coaches with their NBA Championship rings Wednesday night when he referred to Hurricane Sandy as "Hurricane Katrina".

Stern was trying to have NBA fans acknowledge the people impacted by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. However, Stern's mistake made things a bit awkward, especially since Stern didn't catch himself saying it. Probably not the way Stern wanted to start the season.
