Justin Verlander rubs head of Tigers trainer for good luck (Video)

Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander was seen rubbing the head of medical trainer Doug Teter for good luck after he was taken out of Tuesday night's ALCS Game 3 in the ninth inning.

Verlander rubbed Teter's head while Tigers reliever Phil Coke was trying to get the final out of the game against New York Yankees batter Robinson Cano. TBS broadcaster Ernie Johnson joked that Teter "actually had hair before Verlander started doing that."

Although Coke gave up a hit to Cano, he struck out the next Yankees batter, Raul Ibanez, to close out the 2-1 victory for the Tigers and give Detroit a commanding 3-0 lead in the ALCS.
