San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture celebrated his goal in the second period of Thursday night's NHL game against the Edmonton Oilers by "Kaepernicking", borrowing the trademark celebration move of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Seemed appropriate, since San Francisco is only about 45 miles away and the Niners will be playing in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday.
The Sharks won a 3-2 shootout against the Oilers.
