Umpire takes epic spill during Florida State men's baseball opener (Video)

Home plate umpire Bruce Ravan took an epic spill during the home opener of the Florida State men's baseball team against Rhode Island on Friday night.

It happened in the bottom of the sixth inning as Ravan was signaling that FSU batter Marcus Davis was hit by a pitch. Ravan tripped over his own feet, then stumbled towards first base about five or six steps while trying to get his feet underneath him until he finally rolled onto the ground.

Fortunately, Ravan was OK and stayed in the game. Florida State, ranked ninth in the nation, won the game 11-5.
