Chechen soccer linesman banned for life for attacking player (Video)

A soccer linesman in Chechnya has been banned for life for physically attacking an 18-year-old player after a Russian reserve league match between Amkar Perm and Terek.

After the final whistle blew, linesman Musa Kadyrov dropped his flag and went right after Amkar defender Ilya Krichmar. Kadyrov lunged at Krichmar's throat, pushed him down to the ground and then kicked him. A brawl nearly ignited between the two teams as a result, but fortunately cooler heads prevailed.

There's no place for anyone to be attacking anyone else on the pitch, and it's even more embarrassing for an official to be the culprit. Banning Kadyrov is the right decision, and hopefully he can work out his anger management issues.

H/T Dirty Tackle.
