J.R. Smith ejected for throwing elbow in Jason Terry's face (Video)



New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith was thrown out of Friday night's Game 3 of their NBA Eastern Conference playoff series against the Boston Celtics after throwing an elbow in Celtics guard Jason Terry's face.

Smith was called for a flagrant foul 2, which resulted in an automatic ejection with 7:06 left in the game. Smith could also receive a fine or suspension after the NBA reviews the play.

UPDATED 4/27/13: J.R. Smith has been suspended for Game 4 of the series for the elbow to Jason Terry's face.

The Knicks were well in control of the game at the time, and are now well in control of the series as they beat the Celtics 90-76 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
