Craig Anderson high-sticks himself with Brandon Prust's stick (Video)

Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson used an interesting tactic to stop a Montreal Canadiens goal during Thursday night's NHL Western Conference playoff game at the Bell Center: grabbing an opponent's stick and taking a dive after high-sticking himself with it.

It happened in the third period as the Habs were setting up their offense in the Senators zone. Canadiens forward Brandon Prust was tangled up with close to the net, his stick ended up at Anderson's waist, well within reach. Anderson grabbed Prust's stick, pulled it up to his head and dove to the ice with it.

Whether it was a heads-up play or flat-out cheating, Anderson's tactic worked brilliantly as the referees blew the whistle just before the Canadiens scored what would have been the tying goal. The Senators went on to win the game 4-2.
