A San Francisco Giants fan in a canoe nearly fell overboard into the water of McCovey Cove as he reached to grab a foul ball hit by slugger Pablo Sandoval during Tuesday night's game at AT&T Park.
It happened in the bottom of the third inning as Sandoval hit a deep foul ball over the right field stands into the cove, a few yards away from two Giants fans were relaxing on a canoe enjoying a beverage. The men quickly grabbed their paddles and headed over to the ball, where one of the men nearly fell in while reaching for the ball. Fortunately, it all worked out, as the fan was able to grab the ball and only got one pant leg wet in the process.
