Cabrera lost the grip on his bat after a swing and a miss on a 1-1 pitch and the bat went nearly 15 rows deep into the stands behind home plate. It was only by a stroke of good luck that the bat landed in an empty seat and didn't hit anyone.
No word yet if Miggy worked out a trade with the boy who ended up with his bat. A baseball bat from a Triple Crown winner would certainly be a valuable item.
