Ecuadorian football player bites opponent's nose (Video)

In a recent Ecuadorian Serie A football match, Deportivo Quevedo defender Edwin Hurtado took a page from the playbook of Luis Suarez and bit Barcelona Sporting Club's Andres Franzoia in the nose.

It happened after Franzoia took down a Deportivo Quevedo defender while jostling for a corner kick. Hurtado came to the defense of his teammate and confronted Franzoia, which was fine up until the point where Hurtado tried to bite Franzoia's nose off.

Although it's unclear from the video how much contact Hurtado's teeth made with Franzoia's nose, what is clear is that the referee gave Hurtado a yellow card. Hurtado is fortunate that he didn't receive a straight red.

The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
