Passed ball by Salvador Perez disappears into advertisement (Video)

Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez was charged with a passed ball that disappeared into an advertisement behind home plate, and allowed a run to score, during Tuesday night's game at Kauffman Stadium.

It happened in the second inning as Perez allowed the 1-0 pitch from Ervin Santana to get past him. The ball took a bounce and slipped through the crevice above the stadium advertisement directly behind home plate. As a result, the Chicago White Sox runners were allowed to advance one base, so Avisail Garcia advanced to second and Paul Konerko was allowed to score from third.

Santana pitched six strong innings and only gave up two runs, including one on the passed ball. However, that was all the White Sox needed as they won the game 2-0.
