Cleveland Indians pitcher Justin Masterson brought a live chicken to batting practice Wednesday to poke fun of teammate Cody Allen, who is known by his nickname "Chicken Al".
The chicken helped to lighten the mood and keep the players loose. Manager Terry Francona approved, but more importantly, he assured everyone that no harm would be done to the chicken and that it was well taken care of.
The Indians won Wednesday's game 6-4.
