Rick Carlisle channels Gregg Popovich during interview (Video)

Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle borrowed a page from San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich by sticking with one-word answers in an interview with ESPN sideline reporter Chris Broussard prior to the start of the fourth quarter in Thursday night's game against Houston.

When Broussard asked Carlisle if he would consider double-teaming Rockets center Dwight Howard in the fourth, Carlisle simply responded "Yes." When Broussard asked if that decision would be difficult considering how well the Rockets were shooting 3-pointers, Carlisle again responded "Yes."

Since Broussard was only allowed to ask two questions, Carlisle wrapped it up with "That's my Popovich impression. Thank you." Although Broussard was probably hoping for more insight from Carlisle, he seemed to appreciate Carlisle's humor.

Interestingly enough, Carlisle's fourth quarter strategy worked, as the Mavs rallied from a 14-point deficit at the start of the period to beat the Rockets 123-120.
