Possum makes appearance at A's game (Video)

A possum was seen running around in foul territory at O.co Coliseum during extra innings of Monday night's Oakland Athletics game against Tampa Bay.

The possum made its appearance in the bottom of the 10th inning as it ran along the edge of the field until it found an opening behind the advertising board and disappeared. It just so happened that there was a pause in the action as the next A's batter, Sam Fuld, was coming to the plate, so there was no delay in the game.

As it happened, the A's were able to score a run in the bottom of the 10th to beat the Rays 3-2, so the possum may have brought some good luck. Maybe the A's have their "rally possum".

A recent minor league baseball game was delayed due to a possum running onto the infield, but we can honestly say we've never seen a possum at a major league game. You just never know what you'll see next.
