On Saturday night, an Alabama high school basketball game set a record...for fewest combined points scored in a high school game in the state...as Bibb County defeated Brookwood by the final score of 2-0.

Interestingly enough, Bibb County scored the game's only basket in the first 15 seconds. After that, both schools took turns slowing the game down by holding the ball until the final seconds of the quarter before missing a shot at the buzzer. Brookwood had the chance to tie with less than 30 seconds left in the game, but turned the ball over.

Both teams had already played three games that week, so the coaches were focused on giving their players some rest, leading to the low scoring output.

Needless to say, there was no shot clock in this game. If there was ever an argument for why shot clocks are needed in basketball, this should be Exhibit A.

H/T NIS, FTW.
