Cardinals share dugout with skunks at Dodger Stadium (Video)

The St. Louis Cardinals found themselves in an unusual situation during Friday night's game at Dodger Stadium when they had to share their dugout with a family of skunks.

Four skunks (two adults, two pups) were trapped underneath the photographer stand at the end of the dugout. Their presence was discovered earlier Friday afternoon. Attempts were made by stadium personnel and animal control experts to lure them out, using salmon as bait. However, the skunks either wouldn't fall for the trap or didn't want to leave, so the decision was made to leave them there until after the game.

We've seen squirrels running around baseball stadiums before, but we wouldn't expect to see skunks. Apparently this has happened before at Dodger Stadium, and the Cardinals were told that the skunks "usually" won't spray.

The Cardinals played through the potential adversity and beat the Dodgers 2-1.
