Red Sox tape rookie Henry Owens to dugout pole (Video)

Boston Red Sox rookie pitcher Henry Owens was taped to a pole in the dugout with his mouth taped shut by teammates during Sunday's game against Philadelphia.

It was noted that the "silencing" treatment was also once given to Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Pedro Martinez during 1999 when he played for the Red Sox.

Despite being out of playoff contention, the Red Sox have played better recently, having won 7 of their last 10 games.
