Chinese soccer broadcaster fired for dozing off during Champions League match (Video)

A 20-year veteran soccer commentator from China was fired for falling asleep during Friday night's Champions League soccer match between Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid.

Dong Lu was broadcasting the game for China's LeTV national network, with the game taking place between 3:30 and 5:30AM local time. Combine that with a low scoring match, as Real Madrid beat PSG 1-0, and you had a recipe for disaster.

If Lu was a quiet sleeper, he might still have a job today. Unfortunately, his snoring during the 80th minute of the match could easily be heard by viewers, and his employers couldn't let it slide.
