Dallas Stars left winger Jamie Benn speared Toronto Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri in the groin, and got away with it, during Monday night's NHL game at the Air Canada Centre.
It happened just after a botched faceoff between the players with two minutes left in the game. As the linesman that dropped the puck called for a do-over and turned his back, Benn slipped his stick between Kadri's legs.
The other officials also missed Benn's low blow, as no penalty was called and he was allowed to finish out the game. So apparently spearing opponents in the groin is legal now?
