John Farrell ejected for arguing balls and strikes (Video)

Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell was ejected from Tuesday night's game against Kansas City for arguing balls and strikes.

It happened in the top of the seventh inning with one out as Mookie Betts had just taken a first pitch for a called strike. Home plate umpire Bill Miller must have heard some grumbling from the Red Sox dugout before the next pitch was thrown, because the next thing you knew, Farrell was being tossed.

Farrell was apparently upset with Miller's strike zone and came out of the dugout to express his frustration before heading into the locker room. It was unclear why the pitch to Betts was the "last straw", as it was only the first pitch of his at-bat.

The Red Sox lost to the Royals 8-4.
