Blue Jackets LW Matt Calvert struck in face by Nick Holden shot (Video)

Columbus Blue Jackets left winger Matt Calvert was struck in the face with a shot midway through the second period of Friday night's game against the New York Rangers.

Rangers defenseman Holden took the shot from the point in the Blue Jackets zone and the shot went high. Calvert went down immediately and began bleeding profusely. He was able to come off the ice under his own power, but we're going to guess he needed some stitches to take care of that one.

The Blue Jackets won the game 4-2.
