Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay tossed a stray shoe into the stands during a play in Sunday's game against Toronto...and it hit a fan in the face.
Gay was playing defense underneath the basket when he noticed the shoe laying on the baseline, so he picked it up and gently tossed it into the stands so no one would get hurt. Unfortunately, the shoe landed right on the head of an unsuspecting fan who was too focused on his phone.
We're guessing that the fan was OK. This was not nearly as painful to watch as Paul George kicking the ball straight into the face of a fan earlier this month.
However, this is just more proof that if you're going to attend an NBA game, you have to pay attention. Especially if you're paying all that money for seats close to the court.
