In Premier League soccer action, Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud scores the goal of the year (the New Year 2017, that is) with an incredible back-heel scorpion kick in Sunday's New Year's Day matchup against Crystal Palace.
Giroud's goal in the 17th minute gave Arsenal the 1-0 lead and the momentum in the match.
