Tom Wilson ejected vs Devils

Washington Capitals right winger Tom Wilson was ejected from Friday night's game against New Jersey for hitting Devils forward Brett Seney in the head.

It happened late in the second period with the Devils holding the puck inside the Capitals blue line. Wilson was coming back from the other end of the ice as Seney sent the puck into the corner. At high speed, Wilson bumped Seney in the back of the head with his shoulder, and Seney went down in pain.

After being checked out by trainers, Seney was brought straight to the locker room and did not return to the game. Wilson was given a game misconduct penalty. Before being sent off, Wilson had already scored a goal in the game (a shorthanded goal just eight seconds into the second period). The Capitals beat the Devils 5-3.
