Seattle Mariners shortstop Menunori Kawasaki demonstrated some strange baserunning moves during Sunday's game against the New York Yankees as he faked stealing second by running in place .
It happened in the top of the second inning on the first pitch to Mariners batter Chone Figgins after Kawasaki reached first base on a walk. Kawasaki's moves had everyone laughing, including his teammates and Mariners commentator Dave Sims. Even Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter couldn't help but laugh.
Kawasaki continued his unique baserunning technique by backpedaling to return to second base after leading off.
