A fan at Safeco Field made a great catch of a flying bat that slipped out of the grip of Seattle Mariners catcher Kelly Shoppach during the fifth inning of Tuesday night's game.Shoppach lost his bat as he struck out swinging on a 2-2 pitch to end the inning. The bat went flying high in the air, about five rows behind the Chicago White Sox dugout on the third base side. Despite the apparent danger, the fan snagged the bat out of the air like it was no big deal. Nice catch.
