Jose Iglesias, James McCann have altercation in Tigers dugout (Video)

Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias had an altercation in the dugout with catcher James McCann after they returned from the field in the middle of the sixth inning during Friday night's game against Boston.

Iglesias did not take kindly to McCann confronting him, apparently about something that occurred in the field. Iglesias shoved McCann and fired his glove at him as Nick Castellanos stepped in to restrain him.

Iglesias was still heated moments later, which led Anthony Gose to have some words with him. The next thing you knew, other players had to step in to restrain Gose.

Detroit News columnist Bob Wojnowski speculated on what sparked the chain of events:

Neither player had any comment about the incident after the game. Manager Brad Ausmus downplayed the incident, simply saying that "there's going to be disagreements" between players from time to time and it's not necessarily a bad thing because it shows "they care about winning and losing".

Hopefully Iglesias and McCann can work things out going forward.
