WWE Hall of Famer (and former governor of Minnesota) Jesse "The Body" Ventura delivered a brutal quip on boxing legend Mike Tyson as he returned to the microphone for the first time in years during this weekend's episode of Saturday Night's Main Event.
WWE tapped into some nostalgia by returning Ventura to his broadcasting role where he served when Saturday Night's Main Event premiered on NBC 40 years ago this month. Play-by-play commentator Joe Tessitore was discussing the featured matched of the evening and brought up the scheduled match featuring WWE Champion Jey Uso facing off against Logan Paul, leading Ventura to make this comment: "I'm just wondering: You think Mike Tyson will take another dive?"

Ventura's joke is a reference to the boxing match on November 15, 2024 between Tyson and Paul which Paul won by unanimous decision. In the fight, the 58-year-old Tyson appeared to tire out quickly and was wobbly in the third round, but Paul appeared to hold back after that, allowing the match to go the distance, which consisted of eight two-minute rounds. Although Tyson seemed able to display his boxing skills at a high level in recent years, it is possible that his age finally caught up with him. Time will tell.
In the end, Uso retained the WWE title despite interference by John Cena. Paul is set to team with Cena against Uso and Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank.
