Swedish LPGA pro golfer Maja Stark broke her putter by smashing it in frustration after a bad putt during Sunday's final round of the KPMG Women's Golf Championship in Frisco, Texas.
Stark, who won the U.S. Open earlier this month for her first major tournament victory, found herself way out of contention at 11-over par with 3 holes to go in her final round, so she was clearly frustrated heading down the stretch. After an apparent bad putt on 15, she slammed her putter against her golf bag, resulting in the head of the putter breaking off. She apparently did not have another putter, which forced her to use a wedge for the rest of the round.

We have seen plenty of golfers break their clubs to express their anger. In this case, it did not appear that Stark was trying to break her club, but nonetheless, the damage was done. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way.
