Philadelphia Phillies starter Aaron Nola couldn't help but laugh when his postgame interview was interrupted by a teammate passing gas following Monday's game against the New York Mets.
Nola earned the win with six shutout innings of work, throwing seven strikeouts while only giving up three hits and two walks as the Phillies beat the Mets 1-0. Naturally, after the game, the media wanted to speak with Nola about his strong performance.
While the reporters on hand were hoping for some juicy sound bytes, they got a little more than they bargained for when an unidentified player in the background broke wind just as Nola took a brief pause to collect his thoughts, causing everyone to bust out laughing.

We would guess that the media did not ask a follow-up question asking who the culprit was who cut the cheese. Inquiring minds need the answers.
We have seen flatulence interrupt postgame interviews this year, and in the past we have also seen a Phillies player let one rip. We understand that the locker room is a place for players to relax a bit, but maybe the Phillies need to move the postgame interview area a bit further away from the locker room.
