AWKWARD! Eagles Receiver DeSean Jackson Puts His Foot in his Mouth

After the Philadelphia Eagles destroyed the Washington Redskins 59-28 in Monday night's game in front of a live national audience, Michael Vick received a lot of deserved attention for his fantastic performance. Kind of makes you forget about the whole incident where Vick had to go to jail for 20 months for his involvement in a dogfighting ring.  That is, until DeSean Jackson gets a little overexcited when describing the pregame altercation that he had with Redskins safety LaRon Landry:

"The pregame altercation got us going. It had us ready. We came back into the locker room pumped," Jackson said, via the AP.  "We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage."
We're sure it was meant as a figure of speech, as Yahoo! Sports points out.  The timing was rather uncanny, though, as Vick had just completed his best performance since getting out of jail.  And it was interesting that he specifically choose pit bulls, rather than a more generic dog reference, such as Lawrence Taylor's famous "Let's go out there like a bunch of crazed dogs..."  Hopefully he'll be more careful next time.

Let this be a lesson for you kids out there:  Think before you speak...especially when it involves something that will go out on the Internet.
